Tears of blessings fail, on this new years rite

Welcome Persophone, Great Queen of the Underworld
Tonight your citizens pass the veil of light
Bid them safe journey on this night of nights
Hail Hades Queen, we bid you welcome this night

Welcome Inanna, she of a 1000 names
Who tasted death that man might know life
Be welcome in our company, this night when the veil thins
Show us the way to the light

Welcome Hekate, she of the Crossroads
Pale Goddess of the Night
Be welcome in our company this joyous new year
Guardian of souls in the light

Welcome Kali, Great slayer of darkness
Your shield we bid on this night
Protect thou this company with your might
That we return again to the light

Open we now the gates
Between this world and the next
Peering through the mists of time
To see dear faces in the light
Welcome one and all our ancestors
Come sup with us this night

Light the candles round
Let the light abound
Sweet the incense in the night
Tonight we speak with those gone past
To seek their blessings in this life

Hail the blessed ones, who speak to our hearts
